Hello I believe to have a 1998 DDO... Doublin is showing on the bottom of the O and D and God & the E of we & And trust have doubled on It. also the L and liberty
I think I see a faint ridge ring at the top which would indicate a worn die-DDD die deterioration doubling not a true doubled die or a wam and just a cent
Yes, it is DDD... You can tell because if you look at it, it looks kind of wavy and rounded. A DDO would have split serifs and wouldn't look smushed. Also, the top of the 'L' in Liberty is damaged.
Weak strike with a deteriorated die…very little wear on the high points but flat spots on the hair and ear, evidence of circulation on both sides.
It’s only worth one cent. Not a doubled die. Not a mint error. Minted by a worn die and then it circulated for a short time.
