1997D Lincoln bubble plating?

    Can all this be attributed to the plating process? I do see shadow lettering above Liberty but 16X loop can't make out any of them.

    Environment is a factor you are seeing plus zinc rot is also appearing, especially at the mint mark. Remember, the copper plating is microns thin and it does not take long for environmental factors to affect the surfaces.
