1997 Rotated Capped Die

    Yea, it's like 4 or 5! Hey, what about my handy conservation work? Who cares about the coin? LOL

    Unfortunately, this coin was heavily corroded, right down to the zinc in a few places. Note the white zinc oxide poking through and the huge reverse pit. It's a shame! NCS would have turned this coin down.

    Looks alot better but considering the condition of the coin, do you think the conservation helped the value any?

    All of the light to moderate verdigris has been removed. The surfaces are sealed with VC and the corrosion processes halted. The remaining cupric oxide stains are permanent and cannot be removed without damaging the surfaces. Ditto for the heavy corrosion, it's down into the zinc core.

    Do I? I guess if the corrosion has been halted that may help in the pricing...
