I pulled this out of a roll a couple weeks ago and have been pondering on it since then. Not sure if it is PMD or an actual error. What are your thoughts?

It's legit. I cant tell from the picture though if there was a little folded over tongue of copper that was struck into the coin...or if a small piece of the outer layer of the coin peeled away.

Cool, thanks. Would it have any value being such a small piece missing? I've searched over $4kin quarters and it's the first I've seen.

Interesting error. To me it looks like the nickel layer was absent and not a folded over piece of copper. While it is an interesting error. I don't think it is worth more than $15 because of the condition.

It's always a good idea to show the reverse also. If the clad was missing pre-strike it should show some weakness in the rim directly opposite.
