1997 P Jefferson Five Cents - MD? Or Possible Doubled Die??

    Hi Guys,
    Here again to show a coin I found in my circulated coins collection.
    I took a lot of pictures to get the few I'm posting.
    Hope You all can see what I think I'm seeing.
    My doubt is if this coin is only a Machine Doubling or possibly a Doubled Die Variety.
    Any comments are very appreciated and welcomed.

    From my vantage point it appears to be die deterioration issues, not an error. On most modern nickels the doubling has been appearing in the entrance doorway or the window just above it.

    I'm terrible at seeing doubled die, so don't even bother to look. The strike was with a worn die, which I believe the metal flow under PLURIBUS shows, so I would expect to see DDD, but I'll await others input.

    Definitely not a Doubled Die.
