1997 DDO-001: I found this in a bank roll a week ago. I believe it is a stage D. There's a new gouge near D in GOD, the scratch near Y is almost gone, the gouges below the lapel are clear and visible and the gouges in R of AMERICA are totally missing.
Excellent find!! Take a look at the upper left of the Memorial building on the reverse. Some of these are paired up with a die that has a chip at that spot. Nice! Bill

love your pic's. i use a dino-lite digital microscope but my pictures always come out way to bright. ?? not sure how to get around that.. your coloring is realistic what kind of binocular scope do you use?
Thank you. Those USB 'scopes often use bright LEDs, can you turn yours off, or is it always on? Can you just pluck out the bulb? If it comes off you can experiment with your lights which will open up a new world of possibilities with photographing coins. I don't know the name of my 'scope, but I shoot with an old Canon 4MP camera. I have about 15 cameras but this old one works best. I should mention I am an artist (painter & photographer), who uses Photoshop to color correct and edit my pics. The color with a digital camera varies as the computer inside basically makes calculations and creates an image that is often somewhat off. I typically use curve corrections in a RGB color mode (sometimes Lab) to make subtle changes so the color is closer to the coin in front of me. Most often the color is too yellow and red.
