1997 Doubled ear?

    I would like someone to help me. If this is an Doubled ear the lobe is not well formed. If not is an Doubled ear the lobe is too long. Thanks.

    This is not one that can easily be verified with a photo, unless it is a very good one, and even then there is arguments because the doubling effect isn't distinctive enough. I can't see enough depth from the photo to venture an opinion. Since the dies for this cent were produced by the "single squeeze" method, some do not accept the term doubled die in the traditional pre-96 vernacular. On the other hand, there are those who do believe, and may chime in here.
