look at the edge of the coin how far it is pushed out of round in the area where the big gouge is at. this confirms it is PMD , it this had been a struck thru mint error the coin would have been perfectly round because it was in a retaining collar when struck. keep asking questions and before long you will learn more as you go. good luck and find us some awesome coins to look at.
