1997 D error?

    I would say "Machine Doubling" or the like. I can see a "Step" type doubling on the seven that is an indicator of this type of Defect. The center of the "D" looks like it may of had cracks in it. Being a 1997 I don't think there is any chance of it being a RPM. Good photos.
