Hello All, Here is a scan of (2) 1997-D Pennies and the one on the leftside is the one without the DDO Ear Lobe, and the one to the rightside is the DDO Ear Lobe. Look right underneath the ear lobe and you will see the other ear lobe, I found this while going thru pennies I had saved up.

I don't really see any doubling; are you refering to the spot below the earlobe? There's no such variety listed either with CONECA or at coppercoins.com, but if you think you found a new one you might send it in to get it verified.
I thought it was the 1997 P, not D, that had the doubled ear? It's pretty obvious on the one I posted. Of course, I have no expertise in dealing with doubled dies.
Yes, you are correct that the 1997 (P) is the one currently known to have the doubled ear variety- nice example, by the way!
