Found these Silver Pandas today. First 3 pics are of the 1997 "painted" silver panda and last 2 pics are the 1999 silver panda. Both coins are encapsulated in plastic. That and my photo skills suck so the coins look like they have a golden tone instead of the image looking "frosted" and the flat surfaces being mirrored (if that makes any sense). This excludes the obverse of the '97 being "painted" of course. I could not get super clear, detailed photos with the set-up I was working with and my camera etc can be seen in the reflection. I think the Pandas are pretty neat and would greatly appreciate a valuation and grade. There are some blemishes (oil from fingers) on the coins. I thought about removing them from the current holders and giving them a quick wash in acetone. Not sure what (or how) to do it. Please share any opinions or experiences. I'm all ears and eager to learn.
I have no idea about the painted, but the 99 looks to be a small date, so I suggest you do your homework. While Pandas are not my area, a couple years ago I was able to pick up two small dates under melt and flip them for few hundred a pop. Good luck.
