Has anyone ran across a 1996 Silver Eagle with doubling on the obverse? I have one that has nice doubling on the date and the foot, but I have not been able to find any information on these coins.

Could you post some photos---Doubling is not known as far as I know for ASE's....it could be Machine doubling...or it could be true doubling...

I agree with Speedy, most likely strike doubling, no listed varieties for the ASE's.
Although, this could be the first one.

There are two large errors ASE that I know of---a Double Struck coin---and a rotated die error....I think it was rotated 180o.

I tried to scan a pic but can not get a clear close up of the coin. Any ideas?
