1996-p Kennedy doubled-die?

Last year I began searching half dollars ordered from my Bank and found what I think is a 1996-p doubled-die. Kennedy's profile is doubled form the tip of his nose to the end of his neck. During the past year, I have paid particular attention to 1996-p Kennedys during my serch and have found another 1996-p with the same doubling effect (The doubling covers the same area from nose to neck, but is not as prominent as the first one I found). I have read an article posted on this site, which was very informative, and my coins look similar to machine doubling. I have been unable to find if this is a true doubled die (similar to the 1974-D DD Kennedy). Can it be coincidence thzat two similar machine errors exist? Is it possible that I may have uncovered a new doubled-die error?

Both are possible - post a pic of the coins. With quality pics it should be easy enough to tell.

Believe it or not I found another one yesterday!! That makes 3 in total. Can it still be coincidence?

If the doubled area appears to be shelf like & flat - it is mechanical doubling. Based on the pic - that is how it appears to me.

It is shelf and flat...therefore I can deduce it is mechanical. Thanks for your help! What value if any does mechanical doubling have?

Hate to say it - but none.
