1996 Nickel "P" doubled?

    Absolutely nothing wrong with it. What is wrong with making a little joke? I'm sure your question will be answered by someone with more knowledge than me, however it seems to me that the P has just suffered a strategic hit. Machine doubling would be more what is going on inside the loop on the "9".

    Was trying to research this and thinking it might be Die fatigue, seems to be common on Jefferson nickels. Just a thought.
