I'm new to this forum so this question might have been asked already. I've had since, (its in a lockbox and will have to get out to be sure), a 1996 or 1995 100 dollar bill to which Ben Franklins "Holographic or Ghostface" image is on the left side of the bill, not the right side, and is upside down when put up to the light. I've heard through rumor certain things, but does anybody out there know its details. Thanks for anyones help.
If the sheet was inserted into the press upside down, the hologram will be inverted. Depending on when in the process the inversion occurred, the security strip might be on the wrong side, too.
There were a significant number of these errors produced in the 1996 $100's; a fairly large batch of paper was accidentally run through the presses upside down. Value would depend on condition. Doing a quick check of a few sites, here's one dealer selling an AU example for $375....
