I found this nickel and the "FI" in the phrase "FIVE CENTS" stands out clearly, but the rest is barely visible. There's no scratches like it was rubbed away and no other part of the coin is like this. Anybody know whether this is an error? I can't provide a photo yet b/c my cell phone can't zoom that fine
Most likely struck through grease. A common occurrence and no added premium. But without pictures, it's just a guess. Welcome to Coin Talk.
