the obverse has a raised bump under the nose and forehead area causing it to appear distorted (broken nose). The reverse has a raised bump under the top of left tree as depicted by the leaves on top of bump and the "ED" in united is deformed by the raised bump. The bumps are at same level on repective sides and are raised so one had nothing to do with the other. Any thoughts?
Looks like the metal stuck to the die and as it pulled away the metal then let loose and fell back on the coin and made a bump. I have a dime that a large amount of metal fell on the coin before his head was pressed so his head sits on top of the large round glob of metal figure that one out.
Can anyone tell me if this 2019-D dime could have been damaged by machine or man. The obverse side just has damage around the edge but the reverse side has it all over. What do you think WINNER OR LOOSER.
