I have a 1995 $1 web B44866276H Front plate 5 back plate 6. I see this has a printing of 6.4 million and 8 runs but can't find anywhere if this combination of plate numbers is scarce or a common web press. Any help on help on finding out rarity appreciated.
Nice book Bedford! No wonder I couldn't find it. The back plate number reads 8 not a 6. Dam those numbers are small. My next eye exam can't get here soon enough. Where did you come across that book from?
I thought it may have been read incorrectly. Thanks , I couldn't tell you when I got it exactly. It came with a collection of paper currency I purchased a few years back .
This book is tough to find even on the secondary market. I believe a 2nd edition came out in 2003. You might be able to obtain one directly from the author, Bob Kvederas, if you can track him down.
I sent Bob an email yesterday, and he's sending me the second edition (autographed). Like Greg said, it's a great resource, but hard to find.
I bought mine when they first came out and have them autographed by Sr. and Jr. I still use them. Those were the days.
The only online resource I have been able to find is: http://mycurrencycollection.com/reference/web-notes/lookup but all it says is that the web note look-up will be up soon...don't know how soon "soon" is though...
That's what I figured... I found a 1993 $1 Web a few weeks ago and couldn't find any information on print runs.
Web note serial ranges are listed here...but if you want details of plate combinations, yeah, you need the Kvederas book.
