    Hello,

Is this considered MD or RPM? I took a whole bunch of photos, hopefully they'll show clearly.

I'm leaning towards MD, but no harm in asking, right?

    Thanks.

MD can't be a RPM. The mint quit punching them by hand in 1990

It looks like some die deterioration also.

Can you explain to me the rim? Is that also confirming MD or is that something else? I'm trying to learn and keep testing myself before looking at the pro's answers.

Based on the photos provided I feel the issue with mintmark (MM) is from Die Deterioration Doubling (DDD) and very common on nickels and clads. The rim is probably a MAD (misaligned die) but I am not positive as more pictures would be needed (but I am not asking for more).
