Are there any known DDs for this coin? I just found several in a roll that have ear doubling, and various places along the faces.

Photos coming soon... oh, here's one now:

Well I'm concluding this is a strike error. There are 4 that have the strong double strike along the nose and forehead and ear. Another 5 have evidence of doubling in at least one of those areas.

I guess the die just gets loose and several in a row will be misstruck like this?

What should I do with them? These are AU/BU. It's not the sort of error that would be slabbed is it?

Disclaimer: I'm far from an expert on this.

But these things don't look to me like machine errors. All of those I have seen involve doubling the entire coin.

These look different. At the very least, I'd think you'd get some decent money off eBay.

Profile, eye, or ear strike doubling was very common in the early 90's for the Kennedy Half Dollar. Here are some examples, 90-P, 92-P and a 93-P. I don't believe they are very collectable, but there should be a few examples in every Kennedy die variety collection, these are mine.

Nice. OK, well that answers that question. Wonder why some errors are collectible but others aren't? Doesn't make sense, really....

    Thanks!
