I have a 1994 d penny with no copper coating. This is for real, i unfortunately scratched it to make sure it was not coated over the copper coating and there is no copper at all. Any information on the possible value of this coin would be appreciated.
Take a look at the previous thread. Without having the coin authenticated by a very well versed collector or dealer, it is hard to determine if the coin is genuine. On rare occasions, the planchet can come apart. Most of these types of coins, are altered after leaving the mint.
Thanks for the quick reply. How would i go about having the coin authenticated? I'm new to this as I'm sure you can tell.
First try finding a local coin dealer. If that doesn't work, try finding a local coin club. If all that fails, you can mail the coin to a dealer. I will attach a link for you to find the dealers and clubs in your area. http://www.money.org/clublist.html http://anamarket.money.org/
