1994-P Error Quarter?

I came upon this quarter about two years ago but haven't asked anyone about it until now. The reverse looks pretty normal but as you can see on the obverse, most of "In God We Trust" down to the 19 in 1994 does not look like it should. The mint mark P is pretty faint as well. Is this just wear or could the coin have been struck like this? The rim is pretty nice as is the edge which is sharper than your average quarter of this age.
    Thanks,

Looks like a grease-filled die to me.

    I second that.

Ok, so is this coin worth anything more than face value or otherwise worth keeping? Unfortunately it is circulated so if it isn't I will just spend it.

Grease filled dies are pretty common so there is no real premium. I personally like to keep any coins that have irregularaties. JMO
