Im not really sure what this is. I was looking for a ddr when I noticed the contusions up over the motto, "United States of America." I dont think it is a die clash because I cannot find details like that on a cent. And it probably isnt a mule die clash. So... what is it?
I think they are just linear plating blisters. The pics wont show it, but there are 7 different lines, some of which do not touch any lettering.
Feeder finger scrapes. I'm at 99% on this. Sometimes they can be short, others can be longer, but nearly all the time involve the edge of the coin.
They are collectible but I doubt they have any real value above face. Maybe extreme examples. I managed to find two rolls of nice ones in a solid date 2018 P box.
