Got a handful of coins from my teller today and got lucky with this. Has die cracks on top of left and right wings.
Tommy how's this for a die crack find? A 2001 P Kennedy that the crack just about run through the entire 50 stars. in fact if you put the coin on its rev. it will spin and won't lay flat. You can't stack them either. Notice how the coin looks curved that's because it is.
These were only found in US Mint Bags of $50 25P/25D. As the 2001 Kennedy half's were not released until like 2009. I posted this before years ago . Do a search on 2001 Kennedy concavo under Paddy54 to see other images now gone from my files.
There's a lot of folks who frown on this aspect of the hobby as a waste of time, not of any value, not worth the effort, but personally I love all die cracks, chips, etc.
