Looking for opinions from this forum why I keep finding so many better than average 1993-D Kennedys from my CRH. I've searched 12 boxes now and they come up MUCH more frequently and in nicer condition than other clad halves with the exception of the 2002 & forward NIFCs. Sure, they have some scratches as my picture of a typical coin shows. But the mintage was only 15MM coins. By the way, I do not see the same number of quality 1993-P halves since I live in Texas and the Philly coins are less common down here. Anybody else experiencing this?
a lot of the 90's halves I find are very weak strikes - the date isn't bold at all, and the relief is pretty flat compared to 70's issues. If you find some well-struck 90s coins, it might be worth squirreling away the better ones because there could come a time when high-grade, well-struck specimens are worth a premium.
Sorry for the delay, I had to go out of town last week. Good answers Lon Chaney & Shoegazer. Keeping 2 tubes of the best ones for the future. Thanks.
