1993 D Double Die nickle

    Has any one seen a 1993 D nickle with doubling on the word CENTS and slight doubling on the word FIVE. I tried to get a good pic. Any thoughts or opinions???

    Sorry but that is not a double die but it is mechanical doubling.Mechanical doubling is so common that it doesn't add any premium.

    It's die deterioration doubling, not mechanical doubling. In either case, it's common and carries no premium.

    Very common. US mints have been pushing the limits on the dies, so that is expected.

    Double Die / Mechanical Doubling / Deterioration Doubling

    Newbie here...

    How do you tell what kind of doubling a coin has? I have many 2005 Bison nickels with doubling on the mound that I found in mint bags & rolls.
