1992 persian gulf veterans national medal

Need more info on this medal . do these medals have any value . i checked ebay but couldnt find one that has the same case as this one .

Checked some other online auctions, looks like they typically sell for 4$ through 7.50$, enough for a decent lunch.

A friend asked me to check out the value of several coins she wants to sell . tried to convence her not to but just wont listen .

 

It's actually a pretty attractive medal. I have never heard of it before, surprisingly enough.

 

Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there that feel things are worth way more than they are. I saw a guy on craigslist trying to sell Good-Fine common morgan dollars for 150$ and at that price he was "giving them away."

The coin has nice eye appeal but just isn't worth much.

 

I think I was given this one, it was just brass though so I don't remember specifically. The only one I remember was the award from Kuwait that had gold in it.

I still don't recall where I have it, but I thought it was cool they gave us a medal with real gold.

Apparently no longer available from the Mint. Bronze medals in that size are typically sold by the Mint for about $8. The cases run about $3
