There's definitely some damage, but that looks like a CUD.. and maybe something else? I can't tell what's damage, and what's not lol!

I hear that a lot to learn but it's fun learning for me

That certainly was damaged by the environment

So I figured damage on the head and just gets worn into the coin over time makes sense kinda makes it look like a possible error these are things that I'm learning with die strikes and doubling and all the other fun stuff. Cud is a new one but after reading I understand

Cud’s must be on or along the rim. I just can’t tell as my vision is blurry from all of my pills at the moment.

My money is on a finned rim.

Just from the photos, which is never a good way to positively ID anything, I'd say both spots are damage. I believe I see metal movement on the upper right, like it took a hit, and the spot at 11:00 appears to be added metal, like silver solder, as looking at the edge, shows a different composite of metal from the actual nickel. Just my observations.

I think you got a cud there. Remember CUDS have to be on the rim

I have done silver solder doing water heaters from my personal view of the coin it don't look like it's been added but I don't know my but from my elbow when it comes to this that's why all are so great
