    Welcome to the forum :)

Can you post a digital picture or scan of your coin? Coins like this can, and have been faked so its tough to tell by your description. One thing to check that will help start the process of determining if your coin is genuine or not, is to see if the eagle is facing the same way as a regular quarter, i.e. is the beak pointed to the left?

Let us know if you need help posting the pictures.

Here is what DDJESS said in the other thread...it had to be moved because of it being a double post.

Since the letters are inverse that would tell me that I think the coin in damaged....what happened was a nickel and a quarter were hammed on top of one another....

But if you have photos please post them so we can make sure.

thank you for the response i cant seem to get a clear pic of the nickel but i checked the coin and the eagle is not facing the same way as a quarter. upon closer inspection it does look as if a quarter was placed on top of the nickel so i guess it is just damaged well it was worth a shot lol. thanks again
