I know the lack of the motto must be grease filled dye but, is there some doubling with the ear lobe? The eye looks out of place too, maybe higher than a normal position? Also, the bottom has a small cud. The reverse is in perfect shape.

    Hello,

I do see what you mean concerning the ear and bottom. not to sure on the eye. i will let a more expert eye decide that.

It is all from the effects of the grease filled die.

    Thanks,

A grease filled die causes doubling on the ear???

The ear is definitely doubled but I can't tell from the image if it is hub doubling or MDD. It looks rather flat so I would lean more towards MDD.

I would have to agree with MDD.. Ain't no wonder with all that grease on the die, you'd be slipping and sliding too...
