1991-P Nickel - PMD?

    I think it's not a black beauty, especially since 1959 and 2022-D are more well-known for that.

    What would cause the letters to look so weak, though? It's likely someone who harshly cleaned it, but I have no idea.

    I know it has little to no added value, but it's kind of a weird find.

    Looks like it had a session with a buffing wheel…or a polishing gone way wrong.

    That nickel of yours was caught in an industrial dryer. Damaged rim is clear.

    Take a closer look at it, it could be an error coin, can't tell through the flip. Good luck.
