Any ideas on this proof's grade? It is DCAM and deeply mirrored. Unfortunately, the image makes the strike look weak. Scanning coins is tough! Note: The mottling on the image is from the Air-Tite and is not on the coin itself. Hmm, I try not to grade proof coins off the computer, just my opinion, really something that should be done under high magnification, but I would say PR 69 DC. Beautiful coin man! :thumb: What's your opinion of it in hand, other than it is a DC? Phoenix
First, I should point out that I'm not an experienced grader and when it comes to high-end coins I'm in over my head. That said, it's a beautiful coin in hand. The only problem I see is that the shield on the reverse is not as sharply struck as the rest of the coin. The strike is weakest on the northeast part of the shield.
