1990 penny dropped letter?

    On the obverse at top front portion of hair is what appears to be a flipped "L" from liberty (mirror image). Bottom of shoulder appears to be a "D" from GOD. The D has a thin vertical line and a thick radius like the D in GOD. The sizes appear comparable to suspected areas. Any opinions?

    That's exposed copper plating revealing the inner copper. That is damaged. Not dropped letters.

    The coin has been damaged that is why you see metal pushed out around the white zinc core.
