Need some objective feed back please. Came across this 1990 penny in change and at first dismissed it because it just doesn't exist. Blew it up to prove myself right and got left on the fence... At first it looks like a piece of the d was pushed over to form what looks like a p over the d. Look for yourselves and if you can point out what I can not see, to toss this coin back into the meat grinder called circulation please do. Why is it so easy to tell another its just a chip & not a three headed Lincoln, or not a cud because it doesn't touch the rim, but impossible to tell ourselves and all the more so the we have the coin in hand ? I hope your all happy & safe after the holidays. I pulled over 100 pennies from the 90 pounds I went through and will get some time and share some of the finds soon. Rusty
Can't be. Cents have never carried a "P" mint mark. Your cent suffered a hit, moving a portion of the "D" toward the inside of the "D".
Thanks. I just needed some sound objective reasoning directed at me. And some serious sleep. We know that no mint mark, is a p, and some how actually come to see no p as a p. When first I read your words I laughed to myself just knowing I have seen a 1000 p mint marks.... Then realized never on a penny. Been flipping coins a couple years now and may I never get through a day I don't learn more. The large amount of facts in my head are actually starting to relate and interact with each other. Thanks for being there really. Rusty
I years ago hurt my back. Was directed to a very small book called "heal your own back". Written by a Dr from one of the smaller Euro Countries. It was old in the later 80s when I found it, but it details a real picture of our spines, what goes wrong and lists 14 exercises to correct & prevent the pain. I have honestly been free of lower back trouble since then. I will help you get the book if this isn't enough of a lead. Rusty
