1990 cent... Did the Reverse damage cause the Obverse damage?

    Ha, wow. This almost looks like someone used a roll of cents as a punch, smacking the end with a hammer, and this poor cent was stuck in the middle. I'd be curious to see what really caused this.

    I have one similar to that that was damaged by the press that sealed it inside the a mint set.
