I ran across a 1989-D quarter that has no sign any reeding was ever on it. Is this possible considering it has a nice visable collar all the way around it.

The reeding is the first thing to wear away on copper nickel clad coins since the copper core is much, much softer than the copper-nickel clading.

Finding quarters like this is typical.

Thanks for asking and more importantly, THANKS FOR LOOKING!
