1989 slant D

    I found this 1989 penny with a slanted D mint nark, is this common?
    The first one is the error, while the second is one to compare it to.

    It's normal to see the mint mark in different places up until 1990. These were place by hand until 1990

    and they aren't worth a premium unless they are severly tilted or touching the date

    just a question...what would be considered "severely" tilted? Does it have to be pretty much on its side to command a premium?
