Wayne: I see the CEN but........ 1) It can't be a strike over a cent, since that can't happen (a quarter planchet in a cent die); 2) the N is reversed. 3) post mint priduct. 4) the marks on the eagle's wing? Most likely post mint damage.
it is 1989 d you can feel and see that it is a piece of metal. i think it is part of a penny ? with a glass you can see part of the t as well. along the eagles neck. it is upside down and backward.
No not worth verified No not worth verified - I can verify it right here - it's made by hammering one coin on another, post mint damage.
basicly they can make for a small conversation piece, but not worth anything. and it the quarter had been worth something before being hammered, its not worth anyhthing now.
what do you mean by hammered ? like some took to it with hammer and another coin? sorry im new to this error thing.
Welcome wayne d :hail: to the forum. I agree with Treashunt. Any chance it could be an adhesive? Like if a cent was glued to it once? Are the letters raised?
