I have been purchasing alot of proof sets lately and when I get new coins I put them under a 20X 40X microscope. The penny in this set shows doubling on the reverse which is visible on the words (UNITED STATES OF AMERICIA) and (ONE CENT). The doubling of the letters is flat and a little shiny. I compared others to this penny and none of them are like this. The doubling is visible at 20X magnification. Any one ever hear of something like this?
Many proof coins show a form of doubling due to being struck multiple times to raise the relief. These are not true forms of doubling.
