1989 p nickel full step nickle

    Hello. Full steps are difficult to determine w/o Coin in hand or unless you have or can provide better Pics of just the steps like this:

    There is way too much circulation damage on those steps to get full steps.
    Any contact marks that bridge the steps is a no go.
    The coin shows circulation on the obverse also.

    The PCGS price guide shows a 1989 P Full Step in MS-66 for $30
    Your coin is no where close to a MS-66

    Most of the modern nickels will have full steps.

    Good try on the full steps. It's very good shape for 1989 in circulation but to be graded for FS. Too many marks on the step or even if it had one mark on the steps. It would disqualify.

    You may wish to look up the qualifications for Full Steps on the different TPG websites. Most have fairly strict requirements, so it's good to know them when looking at nickels. Good luck.
