    That coin has NOT been melted as much as it has been exposed to some chemical or some other process which negates its collectability.

    Remember, in 1982 Lincolns were being minted onto 1 Mil Copper Plated Zinc cored planchets.

    .2 mils A mil is a thousandth of an inch, the copper plating is two ten thousandths of an inch.
