1989 and 1985 WIDE "AM" ?

    I am wondering if this two considered wide "AM"

    Yes it is normal for them to be Wide AM. In 1993 they switched to Close AM execpt on proof cents. So yes this is a normal 1985 and 1989 pennies

    Change the 8 to a 9 and I'll be surprised

    Any Memorial cent that was minted before 1993 has a Wide AM. Not an error

    Actually the Close AM reverse was used on proof cents once, in 1993, before they went back to the Wide AM reverse
