    Kennedy half from mint set, is this a strike through in trust or a planchet fault before striking?

    That was my first thought also. Must have been very compacted as it is quite deep into the surface.

    Interesting. While it is just my opinion, and everyone has one, it appears to have been a struck through to me.

    Meow thinks no. It is too deep to be a grease spot. Meow would say its a strike through.

    Thanks for all the replies. As it is still in the packaging with 4 other coins and the P token, I have put a note inside the envelope.
