1988P Roosevelt dime- what's that metal below the middle acorn on the Rev?

    88P Dime- what's that metal below the acorn?

    Is it die chips or a die clash from the Obverser or ????

    Here are some pics , plus 2 pics of a normal 88P Reverse.

    I would like to know if there is any rotation on the coin. As it stands right now, I would guess chip. Hope some others add their input, i'm still a newbie. Will be watching this one.

    No- the coin lines up perfect, no die rotation error.

    The coin does appear to have a partially struck collar on the obverse.


    Here is a better full picture of the Obverse and a highlighted pic of the reverse again.

    looks like a possible struck thru.
    Possibly thru a small piece of crud.
