1988 transitional reverse cent?

    Hello, just curious if I'm right on this cent error or not. This will be my second find so I'm pretty excited. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Looks like a winner to me. I've only found one of those & no 1988-D's. Nice find!!

    Thank you thank you! Exactly the words I was hoping for. I'm most definitely keeping it as I'll prob never find another one but I am curious if it has any value. I appreciate the confirmation jay.

    Thank you it makes the hours of searching worth it. Although now I'm thinking crap its gonna be another 3 months until I find something else lol. Oh well on goes the hunt.

    Look at the designer's initials. They used the new one (1989's version) on the 1988 cent. Or the other way around. I can never remember. One has serifs on the "G" and one does not.

    It is always a GD day when you learn something new!!! Today I now learned two, this (Thank you Dougmiester) and that a V is supposed be on the Peace Dollar :)
    This is awesome then, great find!!!! I have a bunch of 1988 cents so yawhoooo going to look at them all over again! Ty all!
