I am totally new to coin collecting, but a friend of mine knows some things about it. The other day, he told me that if I found a bill with the building set back and has a street with a Model T car in front of the building on it (this pic would be on the back of the bill) that he believes that it is worth more than its face value. The next day, a lady bought some stuff at work with a 1988 $10 bill with said pic on the back. My friend can't give me a value on it and seemed rather surprised as to the newness of the bill. I am trying to determine its value, if any, and would be happy to offer more descriptions that might help.

If it looks like this, it is the same reverse design used on all small size $10 bills printed from 1928 through 1995. If it is a circulated bill from any of the series from 1963 on up it is worth face value. These are still very common in circulation.
