This one comes up often at online auction sites. It's a South Korean 10,000 Won 1988 Olympics commemorative featuring the Archery (양궁) event. It seems that the claims about the "error" are correct, IF it is dated "1987" on the reverse. This coin was one of the coins in the 4th seven-coin set allotment that was released between July 11, 1988 and July 30, 1988. All of these coins were minted with the date, "1988," except for these odd errors, of which I have seen quite a few online. Even the earlier set that was released in February~March of 1988 were all dated "1988." Some online sellers claim the "error," even if the date on the coin in their photos is "1988." Coin Specifics: Title: "XXIV Olympiad Seoul 1988" Denomination: 10,000 Won Design: Archery Composition: 92.5% Ag, 7.5% Cu Diameter: 40mm Weight: 33.62g Mintage: Mint Finish: 109,750 pieces(!)
