Would someone please inform me as to the correct specific term used for this condition seen on so so many 1980s and 90s lincoln cents? Where there is the raised " mound", to call it, around the edge of the coin often disturbing the motto?
Wow...i thought there was something else going on that caused that....does anyone know if theres a figure of some kind that tells how many coins are struck on average over the life of a die?

Hahaha...Dont I wish!!!! My uncle was named John too!! Sorry, but no relation. The only other coin guy in my family was my grandfather and hes sadly not around anymore. I did get what was left of his collection though and become physically ill when i think of the items i sold during tough times in my 20s but without a long, sentimental story, no...no relation...
