1988 Lincoln reverse on the steps?

On the reverse, there is something on the steps, and at the bottom of the steps seem thicker. Thanks in advance! Dottie

Really neat! It does look quite a bit thicker, even from the pictures. Maybe there was too much die placed in that one part?

 

Imo it looks like it took a hit I can see indents on the bottom middle 3 columns but that's based on small pics on my phone

 

It looks indented in some parts and then thick in others. It's quite strange
