Evening everyone, the wide AM is plain to see but rest of strike doesn't match up with either Die1 or 2 on Variety Vista site. Initials appear as if they took a hit but date and mm just have worn die or circulation wear. Need expert opinions to catalog. Thanks
That's RDV-005 the normal one for 1988D. It was a mistake for them ever calling it a wide AM because both RDV-005 and RVD-006 are Wide AMs to the eye the biggest difference is the G of the FG it's bolder on the RDV-006. RDV-005 looks like an open backwards D. RDV-006 curves like. C but has the serif and foot . We don't get to an actual, to the eye, close AM until RDV-007. The 1988s are die design transitional varieties. You can use 1986 and 1987 as an example of RDV-005 And You can use 1989, 1990, 1991 as an example of RDV-006 for comparisons but you should be really using the G of FG because it's the most different between the two.
